Community Partnership

As a trusted “backbone” organization in the Highbridge Community (HC) we spearhead, manage and convene community coalitions. We work with the community and community-based organizations, including lesser-known groups striving for collective impact. These include smaller organizations such as Exponents, Henkels & McCoy, and Highbridge Islamic Center as well as more established organizations such as The Children’s Village, Child Welfare Organizing Project, Food Bank NYC, Grow NYC, New York Psychotherapy, MFY Legal Services, The Mental Health Association of NYC, Morrisania WIC, Power of Two.

NYC/Bronx Family Court, NYC Housing Authority, NYC Department of Health, The Osborne Association, Sharon Baptist Head Start, Supportive Children’s Advocacy Network (SCAN-NY), and United Here Health. Through our partnership with these agencies we are able to connect with and serve hard-to-reach youth and families and provide a diverse array of services and referrals to target their specific needs.

We engage public partners working on efforts related to child and family well-being, including the programs and campaigns of ACS, the Department of Education (DOE), the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), the Human Resources Administration (HRA), the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), ThriveNYC, and the Children’s Cabinet.

Community Partnerships are a network for providers, community leaders, and residents to share resources and information, address community needs, design and promote strategies to reduce the potential need for child welfare involvement and empower communities to thrive.

  • Connect with your neighbors, service providers, and community leaders and learn about what’s going on in your community.

  • Bring your ideas about how you and others can work together to support the well being of children, youth and families.

  • Participate in or lead workshops, events, resources fairs and much more!

  • Represent your community as a Community Leader and help build relationships and grow our network of partners.
