Reimagine The Cross Bronx
what we are about…
Bridge Builders and Reimagine Cross Bronx have formed a partnership to serve the community, specifically the Highbridge section where our storefront is currently located. The Cross Bronx highway is one of the most congested interstates, with some of the worst traffic and collisions and the worst health issues in the Bronx. It was made in 1948 and 1972 by the builder, Robert Moses. It was made to divide our communities. The U.S. Department of Transportation is funding this study with a $2 million grant. At Bridge Builders, we want to encourage as many members of the community as possible to spread awareness and give their ideas and opinions at the issue identification workshops. These workshops will be interactive discussions about issues regarding our community.
