Jeanelle Henriquez

A Young Dominican full of passion and commitment to help others.  A graduate of CUNY BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College) and currently a freshman at John Jay College of Criminal Justice pursuing her bachelor’s in Human Services & Community Justice and minoring in Public Administration. Jeanelle has worked with children at 1199 SEUI daycare center,  also worked at Morris Heights Health Center creating awareness of reproductive health and safer sex for young adults. During high school, she led a youth group called PGC (Peer Mentoring Program) that serves the HS freshmen students. Her passion is working with people and engaging communities to organize and improve community wellbeing. Jeanelle came to Bridge Builders Community Partnership as an Intern representing the Human Service Department. When she came to Bridge Builders, she saw an opportunity of a lifetime and she worked hard to stand out and learn more every day. Today at Bridge Builders she is a youth Ambassador. In her current role, she helps youth advocate for themselves and the community. Her dream is to make a change and keep working for and with communities to improve their quality of life.
