Nereida Figueroa
Nereida is an American/ Puerto Rican who has served as a volunteer for the last 15 years in the Highbridge Community in the South Bronx. Nereida volunteered at P.S 11 Highbridge Elementary School and the Highbridge Middle School 361 as a parent; she is also a member of the parent Association. She volunteered at Alianna Dominican /Mosaic Beacon helping in their community pantry and events.
Nereida serves as connector and referral specialist in the community. At the end of 2021, she joined the Bridge Builders Team as a Community Ambassador and in her position, she connects families for resources and assists in organizing, advocating around different issues that impact the community. Her passion is helping our community and loves what we stand for. "Every day may not be good, but there is something good every day".
